Fashion Week 2011: shoots are in fashion!
From March 1 through 9, 2011, fashion week presented the 2011 fall-winter collections. 89 fashion shows in all were scheduled in Paris. We were present at those for Chloé, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
Monday March 7
The Chloé fashion show took place in the Jardin des Tuileries at 4:00 pm opposite the Orangerie under an ephemeral tent. Van 9 deployed two cameras on light bases opposite the runway, one portable camera in the stands, one camera on a light base at the top of the runway and one portable camera to film backstage.
Rendezvous 3 hours later at the Hôtel Rothschild, not far from the Chloé fashion show. Change of atmosphere for Yves Saint Laurent, who chose a more traditional and subdued location. Control room A was on site with 2 cameras at the edge of the runway, one camera in the middle of the runway, and five onboard cameras. An original aspect of this fashion show; the models crossed through various hotel rooms.
Tuesday March 8
The Millennium van had an appointment at the Grand Palais for the Chanel fashion show. 12 cameras overall to highlight the new Karl Lagerfeld collection.
Wednesday March 9.
Back to the other side of the Place de la Concorde, in the Cour Carrée at the Louvre for the Louis Vuitton show. Control room A was set up the day before with 4 cameras on light bases, 1 portable camera, and 1 RF onboard.
