ON THE ROAD IN AMERICA
In May, our RF team crossed the Atlantic on behalf of ASO to provide RF coverage of the Tour of California cycling race.
The client wanted us to complement local resources, entrusting us with the entire RF service. We deployed our replay aircraft here, a Cineflex helicopter, as well as four image motorbikes and one journalist motorbike. One of the special features of this shoot was the implementation of an innovative system which we first introduced last year on e-scooters. Due to the technical and financial disadvantages of transporting our motorbikes to overseas assignments, we have put together "RF kits", sets comprising the cases, mast and amps to be fitted on "standard" motorbikes which can be found for hire worldwide. In this way, five BMW 1200 GS bikes were temporarily converted for the occasion.
