AMP VISUAL TV at French Swimming Championships
Dijon hosted the 4-day French Short Course National Swimming Championships. We were with Eurosport to record the four days of swimming that saw most of Barcelona's medal winners take to the water.
OB Van C by the pool
Our OB Van C was there to record the French Short Course Nationals on behalf of Eurosport France, the competition's exclusive broadcaster. We set up 9 cameras around the pool, as well as a commentator station and a special setup for swimming broadcasts. A 20m tracking camera was set up to cover the width of the pool for stable, fluid images of the changing racing order. In addition to this, two hand cameras were deployed: one in the swimmer's waiting room, with a waterproof hand camera in the pool for underwater images. Starts, turns, and finishes, our cameras got it all.
4 days live on Eurosport
Eurosport France showed the four-day competition live every day from 17:45, with all of the Elite A class finals shown life on Eurosport and Eurosport 2.
Small pool, big names
One week before the European Short Course Championships, the French Nationals form a life size trial for French swimming. In addition to Yannick Agnel and Fréderic Bousquet, every French champion from Barcelona was there in Dijon.
