The ICAR comes into play

With the return of the Ligue 2 championship, our new ICAR range has completed its first filming work: a live link-up for beIN Sport.

One live link-up, seven stadiums, seven ICARs. The new additions to our fleet were christened on the first day of the Ligue 2 championship. As such, we were able to go over to Istres, Clermont Ferrand, Metz, Avignon, Châteauxroux, Nîmes, and Niort. In a 2-camera set up, 2 operators control each unit. The cameras are linked by fibre to the ICAR's Tricaster mixer. The ICAR then encodes the signal before resending via IP by fibre. Our media centre serves to oversee the process. All in one, the ICARs have proved their compactness and user-friendliness.

Moreover, on that first day of the L2 championship, our City 1 van was in charge of filming the Friday night headline match in Caen. As for our Optimum 1 van, it was in Nancy for the Saturday night premium match.

So the first day of the championship really felt like getting back to work.

Starting next weekend, ICARs will be found around the stadiums of France, ready for the second day of the L2 season.
