The Nuit SFR electrifies the Grand Palais
Our Millénium 2 van and StreamFactory were at Paris' Grand Palais to record and stream more than 8 hours of electro on multiple cameras at the La Nuit SFR, one of the events of the autumn.
In 2013, as every year, the nave of the Grand Palais has rocked with the sound of the best French and international DJs on the electro scene. Under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, our Millénium 2 and 10 vans provided those fans who didn't get hold of a ticket with an innovative digital experience. Using 12 cameras (including an RF camera and a 4G-linked camera), the event was given optimal coverage, inside and outside the Grand Palais. This was a superlative experience designed to give viewers watching online, on apps and on TVs via the SFR box never-before-seen access. The show was directed using the mixer in our Millénium 2 van and encoded in our 10 van by StreamFactory so that it could be streamed from multiple cameras. This way, viewers could choose their camera angle or watch the director's choice of shots coming from the Millénium 2 van. Of all the points of view on offer, the one from our camera broadcasting in 4G (thanks to our TVU system) was of particular interest: this camera was as mobile inside the Grand Palais as it was out, as it could be carried in a rucksack. On the other hand, our RF camera was given to a reporter who interviewed the delighted crowd. A Tower Cam was also on the scene, as was the Tescam, a new telescopic crane that a sole operator can extend up to 6.5 m in height.
For the fifth edition, the Nuit SFR covered all bases with a more-than-intriguing programme: Vitalic VTLZR, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Digitalism, Seth Troxler, SALM, Superpoze and Dream Koala were all there to whip up an adoring crowd.
You can still watch (or watch back) all the videos from the evening for a few days, exclusively on the SFR website:
