Birth announcement: the Millenium 3 hits the road
The arrival of a new van is always an event, and we could not be more proud to bring this new model into service. The Millenium 3 reflects our determination to continuously enhance our range of latest-generation semi-HD OB vans. After a period of thorough preparation, the van went on its first mission this weekend.
The Millenium 3 is the latest edition to the Millenium range. Like the Millenium 1, 2, 5 and 8, it is both highly adaptable and powerful, qualities that make it ideal for all sorts of productions.
Its basic 14-camera configuration makes it perfect for sport, and includes several of our new Hyper Slow cameras and 6 LSM servers. The quality of its monitoring (with latest-generation OLEDs) and sound production (built around a STUDER Vista 5 digital console) also make it an indispensable tool for performing arts events. The power of its mixer and its large spaces specially designed for production are ideally suited to special operations. Inside, special care has been given to the van's design and to users' comfort, with particular attention given to colours, lighting, corridors and open spaces, and a dedicated VIP zone.
This unique van is also set apart from the rest by its independent power supply. With its generator and integrated inverter, it provides real protection against power failures, which is another way it saves money and provides a reliable antenna service.
The Millenium range that this van belongs to includes five HD semi-trailer double length OB vans. This represents a significant increase in the number of semi-trailers in our 22 vehicle strong French fleet. This new van will be the second HD OB van based in our Lyon depot, which is there to meet our customers' needs as best we can by reinforcing our presence in regional France.
The Millenium 3 is a perfect illustration of our ambitious investment policy. In the space of less than a year, not only have four new vans and two OB vans increased our HD capacities, but also our existing equipment has been upgraded. (See article).
