France-Croatia: striped shirts and a DJ.
On March 29, the French National football team played Croatia in a friendly match. The meeting was an opportunity to inaugurate the new uniform for the French National Team, designed by their new equipment manufacturer. The half-time show was led by DJ Martin Solveig, who used the Stade de France and our system to shoot his new video.
The Enterprise was busy at the most recent French National Team match. Accustomed to the location (we cover all of the French National team's home games for TF1), our control van managed the international signal and the channel's private signal live. Overall: 22 cameras (including 5 zooms and 2 onboard). We also had 3 additional cameras for the Eurosport signal.
France-Croatia Solveig
Half-time was not an opportunity for our teams to take a break. Famous French DJ Martin Solveig decided to create a hit for his new video and took over the Stade de France for ten minutes. He used our facility, diverted to 6 HD video recorders to record it. To the rhythm of his new song "Ready to go," the DJ put on a show on the field along with his dancers. He also engaged the audience by having them hold up cards to create a huge image of the title of the song. He created a lively atmosphere in the stands.
In sporting terms, the friendly ended 0-0. But the French national team made an impression by inaugurating its new uniform (to be worn at away matches). Inspired by the style of the legendary striped jerseys, it is a complete break from the old uniforms. The new equipment provider succeeded in distancing itself from its predecessor.
