RF: Hyper Production
Since the beginning of the year, the RF department has produced a string of prestigious services. Proof, if necessary, that our know-how is gaining a reputation.
Enabling Angola Public Television to closely follow the best runners in the Angola Marathon on December 31, giving France Television cutting edge technical resources to rebroadcast the most beautiful images from the Dakar rally... from one of our 7 RF motorcycles, from onboard cameras, from a helicopter, our RF teams are sought out all around the world. The months of January and February were especially rich in events.
3 days of specials
We were alongside Eurosport for the coverage of the 100th running of the famous Monte Carlo rally. Using Van G (with 4 cameras including one portable RF camera), we developed a system of ten onboard cameras and one "flying" camera installed on a pickup capable of setting up at strategic points along the course to transmit images live to the relay plane. The images from this camera could also be enhanced through a process allowing a "ghost" image of another racer (already past) over a section of the course to be able to compare times and trajectories. All the onboard cameras were equipped with GPS systems enabling the airplane to follow them and ensure optimal reception.
Simultaneous services
In parallel, we covered the "Ladyes of quatar" (2 motorcycles taped), the "Tour of Qatar" (2 motorcycles and one helicopter live), and the "Tour of Oman" (2 motorcycles taped).
So as not to lose our touch, service for the Prix d'Amérique (3 RF cameras to supplement the traditional system) and for the "Tour du Haut Var" (2 motos, one helicopter, and a relay plane).
