At the French National Swimming Championships
Our Millennium 8 coach spent the 9-14 April by Bréquiny swimming pool in Rennes, filming the French National Elite Swimming Championships, a qualifying event for the coming World Championships in Barcelona.
11 cameras were set up around the pool, hooked up to our Millennium 8 coach. They included our Hyperslow camera that films slow motion images at 500 frames per second, providing incredibly detailed views of the swimmers in motion. A pole cam on a 5m arm was fitted with a remote 3D camera for fluid shots from all angles, and of course, no swimming event would be complete without an underwater camera, which was fitted to a rail at the bottom of the pool for unbeatable views. At the Millennium 8's mixer were Fred Godart and Françoise Boulain, providing coverage of the 6 day competition.
Eurosport provided 2 hours of live coverage every day, and we fitted out the commentator stations where Christophe Bureau, Sophie Kamoun and the special guests Alain Bernard and Laury Thilleman set up shop.
The 2013 French National Swimming Championships saw a range of top competitors battle it out: Yannick Agnel, Florent Manaudou, Frederick Bousquet, and Camille Muffat, to name but a few.
